Triple M's Christmas Star Auditions:

We here at Triple M love our community, and this year in conjunction with our biggest event the Triple M Mayoral Carols by Candlelight we want to showcase some of the best performing arts groups from our region, and crown the regions first Christmas Star.

Over the past month, we have received entries from many talented performers from around The Downs, and we have chosen five artists to take the stage at Central Square, Grand Central.

WHAT:  Triple M’s Christmas Star Search

WHERE:  Central Square – Grand Central, Toowoomba

WHEN:  Saturday November 18th



The winner will be announced on the day and will be granted the opportunity to perform at our Annual Triple M Mayoral Carols by Candlelight on Sunday 3rd December 2017.

Hike for Homeless:

Hike for Homeless is an event aimed at raising awareness of homelessness in Toowoomba and much needed funds for the Basement Soup Kitchen can continue to provide lunch time meals, blankets, clothing and essential services to people who are homeless or at high risk of homelessness in Toowoomba.

WHEN:  Saturday November 18th

WHERE:  Jubilee Park, Bridge Street

TIME:  6AM for a 6:30AM start


Hike or Homelessness is a hike designed for people of fitness levels with three different hike distances:  5km, 10km and 20km.



Adult $25 / Child under 17 years $10 / Family $60



Adult $35 / Child under 17 years $20



Adult $60 / Child under 17 years $30


The Cully Folk Festival:

This annual festival will run over three huge days.


WHEN:  Friday 17th - Sunday 19TH November

WHERE:  Glenvale Showgrounds, 1 Glenvale Road, Toowoomba

There are many unique points of interest about Cully Fest but one that is significant is kids can join traditional and contemporary performance art workshops, and Australia’s best musicians will come together and celebrate all that’s great about the Outback and Aboriginal cultures. 

Cully Fest is challenging, educational and, most of all, it is awesome fun for all members of the family and you’re invited. Cully Fest Outback and Aboriginal Folk Festival means festival goers will have a unique opportunity over three days and three nights to really immerse themselves in Outback and Aboriginal cultures and traditions like never before.

Cully Fest you will see how didgeridoos are made and learn to cook an emu in a traditional Kup Murri and taste delicious Johnny Cakes fried scones and other bush herbs and foods fresh from the fire.

Cully Fest Folk Festival it’s unique, it is laid back and friendly, and best of all it's held in Toowoomba.

It’s an adventure the whole family can enjoy.


Moonlight Masquerade:

Dust off your dancing shoes, grab a fabulous masquerade mask and join a night of festivities to celebrate 35 years of Toowoomba Youth Service helping those who are vulnerable and in need of assistance in our local Toowoomba community.


WHEN:  Saturday 18 November 

WHERE:  Kwong Sang Walk, Ruthven Street, Toowoomba

TIME:  6PM - 8PM

Tickets to this event are available on Eventbrite and there will be a range of items for auction on the night.


Toowoomba & Surat Basin Race Day:

To celebrate the spring racing carnival, TSBE is hosting a corporate race day.


WHEN:  Saturday November 18th

WHERE:  Clifford Park Race Course


COST:  $135 (MEMBER) $155 (NON-MEMBER)

This premier event will feature live entertainment, gourmet food and premium beverages in the Grande Marquee.

The event offers a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for executives, business owners and people working in industry to network and form relationships outside of the office.

Tickets include gourmet canapes, two course plated meal and beer, wine and soft drinks during the event.
