About Friday at the Flicks:
Friday at the Flicks is a series that screens classic, significant and challenging films. A five-minute pre-screening talk sets the context and then post-show drinks and nibbles allow for a post-show discussion with a community of film enthusiasts. Includes post show drink and nibbles.

SNOWFLAKE JAZZ:

No better way to spend a winters afternoon.

WHEN:  SUNDAY JULY 30TH

WHERE:  HERITAGE ESTATE WINES, GRANITE BELT DRIVE, COTTONVALE

TIME:  12:00PM - 4:00PM

It’s a festive afternoon of fine music, award winning wine, delicious food and good times at Heritage! Featuring the jazzy, bluesy, swingin' and popular sounds of "Jazzify" with songbird Teri Welles.

FREE OPEN DAY TOOWOOMBA CONCERT BAND:

The Toowoomba Concert Band will be hosting a free open day this weekend.

WHEN:  SUNDAY 30TH JULY

WHERE:  ST LUKE’S CHURCH, HERRIES STREET, TOOWOOMBA

TIME:  9:00AM – 4:00PM

Bring your own instrument. Drum kit and auxiliary percussion will be provided.

ROSE PRUNING DAY:

Want to learn how to prune roses like the experts?

WHEN:  SATURDAY 29TH JULY

WHERE:  NEWTOWN PARK, TAYLOR STREET, TOOWOOMBA

TIME: 8:00AM – 10:30AM

Then head along to Rose Pruning Day on Saturday 29 July 2017 at the Queensland State Rose Garden, Newtown, where Toowoomba Regional Council gardeners and Rose Society members will be on hand to show you how - for free!

You'll need a hat, gloves, secateurs and an empty bucket for the morning session which runs from 8am - 10.30am.

A complimentary morning tea will be served afterwards in the Rose Cottage.

ANNUAL BOOK SALE:

The St Stephen's and Middle Ridge Uniting Church Combined Mission Committee will hold their Annual Book Sale this weekend.

 

WHEN:  SATURDAY JULY 29TH

WHERE:  MIDDLE RIDGE, UNITING CHURCH, 264 STENNER STREET, TOOWOOMBA

TIME:  7AM – 12 NOON

Proceeds will support the Leichhardt Patrol Ministry.
