2017 Queensland Outdoor Adventure and Motoring Expo and Queensland Hunting Expo:

The Queensland Outdoor Adventure and Motoring Expo and Queensland Hunting Expo is the region’s largest event of its kind. Over 170 local and regional companies will be involved, displaying thousands of products and services, including the very latest in caravans, camper trailers, motor homes, vehicles and 4WD’s, 5th wheelers, camping gear and accessories.

The 2017 event will also feature the Hunting Expo, which will showcase products and services for hunting and the outdoors, including hunting gear and information, licencing, demonstrations and more!

Visitors will be able to view and compare products from a wide range of leading companies all within the one location! This is a not-to-be-missed event.

WHERE:  Spotted Cow Hotel, Tapestry Bar, Mills Precinct & Fitzys On Church, Corner Ruthven and Campbell Streets, Toowoomba

TIME:  12PM – 9PM

Now in its third year, Brewoomba is Toowoomba's own annual celebration of the amber ale! Each venue: The Spotted Cow Hotel, Tapestry Bar, Mill Precinct and Fitzy's on Church will feature their own unique line up of Australian and International craft beers on tap and in bottles plus special events and opportunities to meet some of the brewers.

From 1pm to 9pm a shuttle bus will make it easy to move between the venues so that you don't miss out on any of the action.

Australia National Footbike Championships:


WHEN:  Saturday August 5th – Sunday August 6th

WHERE:  Toowoomba Criterium Track, Glenvale Rd, Toowoomba



Footbike Racing is big in Europe.  It gives all ages from 6 to 86 the chance to pit themselves against the best in Australia.  A Footbike is like an adult version of the kids scooter, so it’s the next big step up from the Razor. It's like running without the impact.

Saturday 5th August:       

12pm—Registration and track opens 
1pm—1st Individual sprint time trial
1.30pm—2nd Individual sprint time trial

Sunday 6th August:

  • Track opens at 9AM
    10am—25km (14 laps)
  • Individual time trials. Competitors will do 2 time trials, and their fastest of the 2 times will be used to determine the results.
  • 10km and 25km will be mass start with Women starting 10 seconds after Men
  • Cost: to cover insurance and track hire.
  • Age Categories are for Children 5-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, and Adults 18-39, 40-49, 50+ (Your age as at 31st December this year)

The Longyard Country Music Club:

WHEN:  Sunday August 6th

WHERE:  Murphys Creek Community Centre, Murphys Creek

TIME:  12:00PM – 4:30PM

Here’s what your day will look like:

  • Good Band
  • Walk up artists
  • Hourly giveaways
  • Lucky Door and raffle (meat trays)

Head along and help the club celebrate its 20th birthday as well as celebrating Father’s Day!

Don’t forget to take a plate of afternoon tea to share.

Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races:

WHEN:  August 4th – August 6th

With a region as unique, diverse and full of character as the Western Downs, it seems only fitting that major events are just as colourful and varied as the region.

This year will see locals and visitors soak up the atmosphere at Tara’s signature event, with cultural performances, flavoursome cuisine, and let’s not forget the camels, for two days of jam-packed entertainment.
