All Hands on Deck for National Tree Day

Planet Ark has put out the call to Riverina to lend a helping hand to one of the nation's biggest environmental movements, and plant a tree for National Tree Day.

Research has shown getting kids outside and into nature can benefit cognitive, emotional and physical development, and 13 Wagga schools will be participating in planting events today.

There will also be a community tree planting event in Wagga on Sunday,locals interested can head to Amundsen Street in Boorooma from 10am.
