After months of work and restorations, the Oakey Historical Museum is opening its doors on Saturday, June 9 to show off the improvements made to the facility.

Come and see the great display of camera equipment, historical machines and tools and tons of pieces and photos depicting the history of the Oakey region.
Look over the historical Byers Cottage, the former Oakey morgue, the fully restored Pioneer Cottage and much more.
All buildings and displays will be open to the public with many featuring quirky and interesting objects not seen in decades.
The Open Day will include a morning tea and afternoon tea and a sausage sizzle provided by the Oakey Historical Society members.
