Part 1

Article heading image for Esperance Arts Clubs and Groups Series

Flora and I are doing a series to bring you the great clubs and groups available around town. Whether you are a dancer, a musician or a board game enthusiast, there is (almost) a group or club for everyone!

Part 1 – Crafty Critters, the Esperance Bay of Isles Embroidery Club

The Crafty Critters is an informal craft group who meet every Thursday morning at 10am at the Esperance Community Arts Space. They work on either individual or group community arts projects. Beginners are welcome! Gold coin donation is asked to cover the costs of the morning tea that is provided (tea and coffee and cake available). They cover a vast range of crafts including knitting and crochet and are always willing to teach.

The Esperance Bay of Isles Embroider Club do exactly that! Meeting at the Cannery Arts Centre in the music space, a whole range of different embroidery styles are covered in this weekly club. For more details of times, please contact Sue Straaden, 9071 2250.

The Esperance Brass Band is perfect for anyone that does not mind tooting his or her own horn. They rehearse every Thursday from 730pm for a couple hours at the Esperance Basketball Stadium. Any new or interested members are WELCOME! For further info contact Julie Featherstone on 0438 839 352.

Keep your ears and eyes on tomorrow for more groups and clubs from around Esperance!
