It's a first time event happening in Esperance and it's coming this SATURDAY, March 31!

The 'Go to Whoa' event run by the Great Southern Street Machines Association at the CSBP property on Sheldon road is set to enthrall and excite those that love their cars, especially those that like them going fast.

Anyone is welcome to enter their car or machine, with the task set before them simple. You have 80 m to reach as fast as your car can go. There is a catch though... You have to make sure your car hits that speed and then comes to a COMPLETE STOP before the 80 m line. Woah! It's the perfect test of your driving capabilities, where your acceleration and braking skills pushed to the limits.

The event is completely safe with experienced officials organising the day and plenty of scrutineers to assess the cars before they begin racing.

There's also a prize for the winning driver!

Racers are asked to arrive at noon for registration, the public are welcome from 1pm with driving beginning at 2pm.

For entry forms or more information consult the Outta the Shed facebook page.

And get ready to smell the rubber burn!
