If you're struggling for something to do on the weekend and just want to bum around at home or avoid the rain, then this is the blog for you! Two movies freshly reviewed by Simmo, the Esperance resident movie dude, has watched the Marvel's Black Panther and classic 90's movie Men in Black for you, and will let you know if it's worth a watch or not!

Black Panther (2018)

Plot: This is the latest of the Marvel movies (the 18th in the Marvel cinematic universe) with Chadwick Boseman leading the predominantly black cast as 'the Black Panther'. 'The Black Panther lives in a fictitious African nation, Wakanda, that has become far more technologically advanced than the rest of the world, because they have the sole source of Vibranium, the same material used to make Captain America's shield. Should the Wakandian's share their Vibranium and advancements with the rest of the world? Watch the flick to find out!

Verdict: Simmo: 'The thing is with the Black Panther, he is one of the more obscure characters and what you really need, with the obscure characters in Marvel is you need an actor that will carry it... he did a really good job, but he (Chadwick Boseman) felt a bit stiff... I think the CGI let it down... you have a big fight at the end and I just didn't believe it!

Men in Black (1997)

Plot: This 90's classic stars Will Smith (he sang a song for this movie too!) and Tommy Lee Jones that work for a secret organisation that protect New York and the WORLD from extraterrestrial beings. Agen J and Agent K (Smith and Jones)  uncover the deadly plot of an intergalactic terrorist who is on a mission to assassinate two ambassadors from opposing galaxies currently in residence in New York City.

Verdict: Simmo: 'Will Smith is at his charismatic best... some of the effects still hold up, a lot of puppets which I really like!'
