This Monday, the 19 February, a special council meeting will be held.
The purpose of the meeting is for the Esperance council to discuss the five motions passed at the Annual Electors Meeting a fortnight ago, which involved several pertinent local issues including the Esperance Tip, the Nickel Sulphate Mine proposal, the Esperance Jetty reparations, the Esperance Shire CEO's position, and a cap on Esperance water prices. Councillors will debate these motions and will come to a decision whether to act, throw out or further research and discuss the given issue further.
All members of the public are welcome (and encouraged) to attend the meeting, however it is important to know that their involvement is limited to asking questions at the allotted time concerning the discussions of the council of that particular motion. There is no other direct involvement.
The meeting is set to take place at 5.30pm at the Esperance Council Chambers.
