Grab your instruments, stretch your fingers and limber up your vocal chords, the Annual Music Festival is BACK this year at the Esperance Civic Centre!

This year the festival celebrates its 47th appearance around town, which is testament to its enduring success and popularity with the wider Esperance community. It also helps that we’re a talented bunch in this pocket of Australia, and this is showcased with a wide-variety of music schedules across the three days (Thursday, Friday and Saturday August 16,17 and 18) ranging from brass bands, to guitar pieces to choirs. Your musical tastebuds are sure to be satisfied!

Adam Pinto, who is an esteemed musician from Perth, will be this year’s Adjudicator rating every performance across the festival. His major talent lies with the piano. He has collaborated and performed with artists around the world and his career has taken him now to the University of Western Australia, where he is studying his doctorate in piano compositions.

The festival is broken up into sessions, Day and Evening, with small intermissions between. Thursday kicks off with solo piano performances, with different brass, string and wind instruments ensuing from there. Of note will be the grandiose pieces of the Esperance brass band on Saturday night, and the choirs from each of the high schools on Friday.

Prices begin at $3 for the morning sessions and max out at $10 for Saturday evening. For a copy of the program please head down to the Esperance Newsagency on Dempster Street.
