Triple M is your one stop guide to what’s happening this Melbourne Cup Day, the first Tuesday of November.

You may not enjoy the betting, or the potentially harsh treatment of animals, but everyone can appreciate taking a couple hours off work during the middle of the day, dressing up in a collared shirt or frock, grabbing a champagne or beer and having a midday chinwag with some work colleagues or friends!

So, here is what is happening around Esperance!

Loose Goose – RFDS Fundraiser Lunch

The Esperance Royal Flying Doctor Squadron Auxiliary Inc. are hosting a three course lunch with special viewing of the Race at (arguably) Esperance’s premier, fine dining institution, the Loose Goose. Tickets are $80 per person, but the proceeds do go to the worth RFDS cause. There will also be full bar facilities available, sweeps, a raffle and multiple prizes throughout the festivities!

Munglingup Town Hall will host the Mungy locals for a lunch and a viewing, run by the lovely Munglinup P&C.

Out at Cascades a Ladies Lunch will be kicking off from 1030am. It’s a kid’s friendly event with food provided for the affordable price of $50. Frock and fascinator not essential but advised.

Last but not least, the Condingup Tavern throws a Melbourne Cup luncheon every year and 2018 is no exception! Delicious food, a couple (quiet) drinks and a large screen for the race that stops the nation.

PLEASE gamble responsibly.
