TLC were wrong when they sang, "don't go chasing waterfalls" - if anything, we WANT to chase pretty waterfalls! Since I'm sure there are other waterfall enthusiasts on the Gold Coast, I've decided to list 5 of the best waterfalls you need to visit this summer. Plus, make sure you take your phone & camera, because your Instagram is about to get really good!

Purling Brook Falls, Springbrook

Springbrook National Park is a must-do for so many reasons, one of them being the amazing waterfall that is Purling Brook Falls! It's the ultimate opportunity for a bird-eye-view shot. You can even walk behind the curtain of the waterfall - how cool is that?!

Cedar Creek Falls, Mount Tamborine

While Cedar Creek isn't exactly Niagra Falls, their rock pools are the perfect spot to chill out (literally too because they're quite cold). The waterfall is a hotspot during the hotter months so you're bound to share the spot with some other waterfall enthusiasts!

Curtis Falls, Mount Tamborine

These falls are right in the middle of Mount Tamborine and they run all year round! You can overlook the falls from the viewing platform. It's great for an afternoon scenic walk - you might even see eels and fish in the rock pool too! And word on the street is there's a local PLATYPUS! *cries*

Cougal Cascades, Currumbin Valley

This has to be one of the best spots to cool off on the Gold Coast. The cascades has a waterfall that streams down a rock face and into a small rock pool then a beautiful large rock pool beside it. A lot of people jump & dive off, but just be aware it isn't recommended because there's been some nasty spinal injuries in the past. So, best to cool off at the bottom instead! Definitely worth the trip!

Natural Bridge, Springbrook

If you want to see the most beautiful waterfall, head to Natural Bridge in Springbrook. This area comes alive at night, hosting a tonne of glow worms which light up the surrounds. This rock formation is second to none and a picture perfect location! While you can't swim there, it's a damn good view!
