Tourists from around the world will be flocking to the Gold Coast from April 4, meaning one thing: road closures. 

If you're not sure where you'll be able to get your morning coffee or brunch, we've rounded up some hotspots where you won't be affected by hectic road closures: 

COOMERA

Check out the Coomera precinct map to view affected areas. Some cafes and eateries available include:

Cuppa Coomera Cafe - Corner of Reserve Road and Abrahams Road, Upper Coomera

Brewlicious Cafe and Juice BarBrygon Creek Dr, Upper Coomera 

HELENSVALE

Check out the Helensvale precinct map to view affected areas. Some cafes and eateries available include:

NightQuarter - Township Drive, Helesvale. Open every night 12pm-9pm, 5-14 April 

Westfield Helensvale - Millaroo Dr, Helensvale. Pop-up laneway from 4-15 April 

LABRADOR 

Check out the Labrador precinct map to view affected areas. Some cafes and eateries available include:

Daark Espresso - Musgrave Ave, Labrador (Avoid Musgrave Ave near the Labrador Hockey Club. Take the back way through Scarborough Street, then turn onto Central St and then onto Musgrave Ave). 

Little Barista Espresso Bar - Musgrave Ave, Labrador (Avoid Musgrave Ave near the Labrador Hockey Club. Take the back way through Scarborough Street, then turn onto Central St and then onto Musgrave Ave). 

Daily Squeeze cafe - Musgrave Ave, Labrador (Avoid Musgrave Ave near the Labrador Hockey Club. Take the back way through Scarborough Street, then turn onto Central St and then onto Musgrave Ave.) 

Frigg - Frank Street, Labrador - The Triathlon and Marathon will effect Marine Parade and Frank Street  on Day 1, Day 3 and Day 13, BUT the team at Frigg are embracing the activity by setting up an observation deck for locals to enjoy a coffee over the race. The perfect view! 

Papercup Coffee - Frank Street, Labrador. On Thursday and Saturday, Frank st (the road in front) is closed but you can get to the team via Robert st. 

SOUTHPORT 

Check out the Southport precinct map to view affected areas. Some cafes and eateries available include:

Australia Fair Shopping Centre - All the favourites including Alba Cafe, Max Brenner, SoPo Dining Room and much more are open. 

Bombay Affair - Plenty of off street parking around Ovens Lane and White Street, or even easier, get on the tram. The team have organised a free 'Curry Bus' a.k.a a courtesy bus for all diners too if you'd like a drop off and pick up service.

Randy Wallhole - Nind Street, Southport. Nind Street is completely blocked off due to the Games but these guys will be grinding the perfect espresso every day except Sunday. Park around Johnson Street, Scarborough Street and end of Nind street. 

Tonic on Chirn - Musgrave Ave - Serving up cocktails and tapas well into the night. End of Musgrave Ave, is shut off but not the section Tonic is on. Park in the back entrance behind the building or the street on your right of Tonic is unlimited. Note most streets are abiding by the 2 hour parking limit at the moment. 

NERANG

The Industrial Kitchen, Cafe and Catering - Make your way to The Industrial Kitchen for an array of fresh meal options on offer and for a break away from the hustle & bustle happening around town! 

Helena's Espresso - Head to Helena's Espresso for one of the best coffees on the Gold Coast! Also, get behind the Aussie's by celebrating with one of their new Green and Gold Smoothies: Go For Gold & Aussie Aussie Oi! 

My Centre Nerang - The centre is operating as normal, which means you can grab a coffee from one of their cafes with ease!

Cadence Cafe - Cadence Cafe will be open every single day during this hectic period, so you can get your coffee before the work rush! They'll be open 5:30am-2pm Mon-Fri & 6am-1pm Sat & Sun.

SURFERS PARADISE

Check out the Surfers Paradise precinct map to view affected areas. Some cafes and eateries available include: 

Paradox Coffee Roasters - Beach Road, Surfers Paradise. For coffee and lunch 7 days a week enter on Beach Road to park in Bruce Bishop Carpark. Have your parking ticket validated by any retailer and park free for two hours. Winning! 

Salt Meat And Cheese - Beach Road, Surfers Paradise. For Italian delights including pasta and pizza enter Salt Meat and Cheese on Beach Road in Bruce Bishop Carpark. Same parking deal as above. Note: There's all you can eat Monday night for $20!

Brooklyn Depot - Beach Road, Surfers Paradise. Burgers as big as your head and fries straight outta the US, this popular foodie spot is open 7 days a week. Same parking details as above. 

QT Hotel - Staghorn Avenue, Surfers Paradise. Come and play inside Surfers Paradise retro hotel with Bazaar, Yamagen and Stingray Bay open and ready to serve you a cocktail (or two). Park underneath the hotel - that's the easiest - or if you're lucky, try and snag an on street parking out the front. 

BROADBEACH

Check out the Broadbeach precinct map to view affected areas. Some cafes and eateries available include: 

Pacific Fair Shopping Centre - Not only is the Sea FM team broadcasting live here every day over the next couple of weeks, its the ideal place to escape the road closures. Shopping, dining and giveaways from our Sea FM crew - what more could you ask for?  

The Star Gold Coast - They say the casino never sleeps so its little wonder its still open and ready to play! With the media centre in full swing at The Gold Coast Convention Centre, don't enter from that side. Enter from Hooker Blvd.  

Shingle Inn - Located in Oracle Blvd, Shingle Inn will be open and serving delicious coffee and dessert goodness over the next couple of weeks! Charles Ave to Queensland Ave is closed and there's restricted parking, so best to make a plan.  

No Name Lane - If you're up for a feed and some bevs, No Name Lane will be operating during the next couple of weeks! The perfect spot for a post-event debrief! Just be aware of the parking restrictions and street closures.

Brunch & Co - Brunch & Co will be operating as normal over this busy period! While there's road closures around, you might be able to snag a spot near the beach or on a street heading south. Just be aware of signage!

Social Eating House + Bar - Social Eating House + Bar is ready for all the action, having added 20 new seats for keen diners! Charles Ave to Queensland Ave is closed and there's restricted parking, so best to make a plan.

Bavarian Bier Cafe - Bavarian Bier Cafe are operating as normal, serving up some delicious feeds we all know and love. Being on Oracle Blv means surrounding road closures, so just be aware of changing parking restrictions and closures.

ROBINA 
  • Robina Town Centre: The Live Lawn with live music and pop-up bar, 3-15 April
CARRARA

Check out the Carrara precinct map to view affected areas. Some cafes and eateries available include: 

Cabukee Speciality Coffee - Get yourself an eggs benny & a great coffee at Cabukee without disruption! Just make sure you check your route to make sure you don't get caught up along the way!

Zarraffa's Coffee - If you need a desperate pick-me-up, Zarraffa's in Carrara is one of the many places around that are open! With Nerang-Broadbeach Road being hectic, just make sure you try a different route 

Goldsteins Bakery - If baked goods are calling your name, you'll be happy to know Goldsteins are still open the next couple of weeks! Just steer clear of Nerang-Broadbeach and find an alternative route.

CURRUMBIN

Check out the Currumbin precinct map to view affected areas. Currumbin will be hosting The Athletics Race Walk and Cycling Road events, which affects a large portion of the suburb and surrounds. Some cafes and eateries available include:

COOLANGATTA

Check out the Coolangatta precinct map to view affected areas. Some cafes and eateries available include:

The Strand Coolangatta - Bin 72, Sweet Lou's Saloon, Selfish and much more will be open during the next couple of weeks, so you still have plenty of options for a coffee and a feed. Just make sure you keep updated on all things road closures! 

Hog's Breath Cafe - Hoggies is open for all the eating and everything in between, but just be aware of the road closures and parking restrictions. There's a lot of parking inspectors around so best to park a few streets way!

Cafe Dbar - For a bit of quiet and good coffee, head up to Cafe Dbar! Getting in and out is pretty easy, so you'll be all good to head down for brunch. Just avoid Marine Parade on the way! 

Southeast Espresso - Start your day right and head down to Southeast Espresso for a good feed before you watch the Aussie's win some medals! Boundary St is open, so you shouldn't have too many problems! Just avoid Marine Parade. 

Little Mali - Little Mali is all good to rock up to for a healthy snack and a good coffee! Obviously, being in Coolangatta means you have to have a plan to get down there, but it's well worth it! 

Please note: This does not including parking restrictions. Some event locations will have restricted access only on the day of the event. Make sure you double-check road closures before heading out.
