WHAT IS GIVE ME 5 FOR KIDS?
Each year during the month of June, Hobart’s Triple M and Southern Cross Television dedicate their time and passion to Give Me 5 For Kids.
IMAGINE, just for a moment, if your child, grandchild, niece, nephew or family friend was sick or in need of hospital treatment.
IMAGINE what you’d do to help them get better as soon as possible.
During June, Triple M is asking for your help to raise much needed funds for the Children’s Ward at our local hospital with Give Me 5 for Kids.
Whether it’s a little or lot, funds raised can help families within our community receive the best quality care.
Now in its 16th year in Hobart, championed by Triple M’s Dave Noonan and hundreds of local businesses and individuals, GM5FKs in the south of the state has raised over 2.7 million dollars for the Royal Hobart Hospital’s Children’s Ward. Over 2 million of that has been in the last 5 years; a testament to the way it’s grown in our community.
The funds raised each year enable the Royal Hobart Hospital to buy life-saving and life-changing equipment for both the staff at the RHH and the families who utilise its services.
The results of GM5FKs are tangible and many pieces of GM5FKs purchased equipment can be seen in use in the RHH children's, neo-natal and emergency wards, daily.
Businesses and communities all contribute to the huge campaign. On top of our own radio station events, our dedicated ambassadors assist us in charity houses, gala balls, scenic flights in a QantasLink plane, raffles, car washes, spin-a-thons, morning teas, casual dress days, quiz nights and so much more!
