The Big Freeze Newcastle is about dunking some local personalities in a whole lot of ice water to help #FreezeMND. This great initiative is driven by a local committee partnering with the Newcastle City Blues (AFL) and FightMND.
The aim is to raise funds to find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease, along with building awareness and having fun at the same time!
The Big Freeze Newcastle will start with a family fun day at Newcastle’s Number 1 Sports Ground on Saturday 23rd June. There’ll be an AFL game, a parade of runners completing a relay race, and other fun activities.
Of course, the main event will be the giant slide leading straight into a pool of ice water, where several local personalities, who have committed to raise $5,000 each, will be dunked for their commitment to freeze MND!
