Visitors to Bunbury’s iconic Koombana Foreshore will now be able to access free Wi-Fi at the popular precinct after the service went live this week.

No password is required to access the service – users simply select the network and can browse away 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

Wi-Fi can be accessed from the amphitheatre to the playground.

Koombana Foreshore joins a growing list of City-owned facilities with free accessible Wi-Fi.

Bunbury Regional Art Gallery, Bunbury Visitor Centre, South West Sports Centre, Bunbury Public Library and Withers Community Library all have Wi-Fi available for the public to access.

Bunbury Mayor Gary Brennan said providing free Wi-Fi was just one of the ways the City was making progress in becoming a Smart City.

“If you visit any major city in the world they have one thing in common and that is free accessible Wi-Fi for its visitors,” Mayor Gary Brennan said.

“Watch this space as we begin to integrate further smart initiatives into the City.”
