Lighting in the Jetty Baths precinct is set to improve with the City of Bunbury upgrading the current lighting infrastructure over the next few weeks.

About 10 to 12 units will be replaced with LEDs in a bid to improve security and visibility in the area.

The LEDs will also allow for a reduction in operational costs and more than 50% saving in electricity usage.

The project aligns with the City’s recently adopted Strategic Community Plan and forms part of an ongoing program to be implemented over the next four years as part of the City’s Long Term Financial Plan.

A new ablution block is also currently being installed at the area to replace the temporary amenities. The new facilities will include a Universal Access Toilet and an ambulant cubicle.

Portable toilet facilities are on site while the works are being carried out.
