The BREC Summer Film Festival returns in 2018, with a superb line up of 12 international films running across 5 weekends from January 12th to February 10th. The festival opens with Italian screwball comedy and winner of the 2017 Italian Golden Globe for best comedy, Let Yourself Go.

BREC is thrilled to announce the inclusion of Cinefest OZ winner Ali’s Wedding (Australia), an affectionate film about family, duty and love in multicultural Australia. Nicole Kidman stars in The Killing of a Sacred Deer (USA) a film by acclaimed director Yorgos Lanthimos.

The festival includes films from all corners of the globe such as The Odyssea, a dazzling French biopic which follows the chaotic life of celebrity oceanographer Jacques Cousteau. French rom-com Just to Be Sure, Italian drama Indivisible, The Teacher a Slovakian film about communism in the 1980’s and Loving Vincent (UK) a film made from over 65,000 hand-painted oil-paintings. Other films featured in the festival include French animation My Life as a Courgette, French drama The Midwife and Carmen on the Lake, an Austrian opera.
