For years there were 3 guarantees in life; death, taxes and Australia retaining the Ashes. Sadly, those days are gone. I mean, we are all still going to die, sorry to bring mood down...
The Ashes has also been filled with heated moments in recent years. Ponting giving it to the England change room after he was run out by a sub fielder in 2005, Kasper given out caught behind without having his hand on his bat at Edgebaston (yep, we're still bloody dirty about that one), Pup telling Jimmy Anderson to get ready for a broken f**king arm and David Warner hitting Joe Root for 6...in a Birmingham pub.
This year promises more of the same, with the teams being as evenly poised as we've seen since 2005...although a 5-0 whitewash (again) would be nice.
