Brisbane Floods Days of Clean-Up Takes its Toll on Marto | Triple M Brisbane

As the clean-up across Brisbane gets underway, already, we have seen members of the community work tirelessly to help restore and rebuild the lives of those who have lost everything. Someone who time-after-time continues to answer the call of duty, for no other reason but to help his fellow neighbour, is our own Greg Martin. Yesterday ‘Marto’ with no ulterior motive but to help those in need went to flood-ravaged Rocklea to assist in the clean-up. However, like many who have witnessed the devastation caused by last week’s ‘rain bomb’ the toll of watching people pick up their pieces of their shattered lives became too much. This morning on Triple M Breakfast Marto broke down on-air in a rare moment of vulnerability not commonly associated with the radio veteran.
