Gold Coast champion Gary Ablett is the Triple M Footy Cbus Player of the Week for round six.
The little master wound back the clock on Saturday night against North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.
Ablett was incredible. He registered a colossal 45 disposals, 27 contested possessions, a whopping 18 clearances, nine tackles, 10 inside 50s and a goal.
He had 17 more disposals than the next best player Shaun Higgins (28).
It was like the Ablett of old as he made a mockery of questions over his form and passion for the game that arose a few weeks ago.
Ablett has now recorded 40 or more disposals in a game on 21 occasions – an all-time record. His tallies of 18 clearances and 27 contested possessions were both career bests, too – not a bad effort when you consider he turns 33 in a few weeks!
Unfortunately for the Suns, his Herculean performance wasn’t enough to get them a win as North Melbourne ran out 13-point winners.
